I have two trumpets available for donation to a player who could make good use of them. They were both designed for a player who had limited use of his right-hand fingers.
The first trumpet operates using foot pedals to control the first and third valves. The second valve would be played normally, using one finger.
The second trumpet operates using touch pads. Rather than pressing down the valves, all one has to do is touch a pad situated on a shelf directly above the corresponding valve, and through an actuating system, the valve will go down. Lifting the finger releases the valve. Currently, the third valve is controlled using the right-hand thumb, but this could be altered to reflect normal trumpet-playing technique (that is, returning the third valve to the ring finger).
Interested people should contact me at jpsned@hotmail.com. Thank you.

Jim;
Is one of these horns described in this article you wrote?

And I think photos and a detailed description of the "pedal" trumpet is in this article you wrote.

David,
Yes, those are the two horns. The gentleman for whom they were designed, Walter Chesnut, passed away this past spring. I know he would be delighted to find someone else to use them.
